終於展開14天的東日本.南北海道之旅。第一天其實沒有太複雜的行程,下機後已達7時,換領JR Pass,處理好到東京市內的Skyliner後,趕到民宿已經9點了。
◢The 14-day East Japan-South Hokkaido trip finally began. Day 1 involved no complicated trip plan since the time was tight after arrival, busy dealing with JR pass, Skyliner ticket and check-in.

既然是14日的長征(對我來說),無限上網自然是必不可缺,市面有各類不同的電話卡,但出發前有同事推介用WiFi蛋,就抱甚麼都要一試的心態去租了一個。我是用Klook客路租用,然後出發當日到香港機場領取,旅客也可在日本機場領取。先到官網註冊(點我前往),你我雙方領取港幣$25的折扣券,然後再搜索日本WIFI或直接到這邊(點我前往)預訂,配合折扣14天的費用約為港幣$150(手機程式預訂也有優惠,但優惠不能同時使用多個),平均一天才$10,可謂相當划算。
◢WiFi was typically important for a 14-day trip. There are various type of SIMS but I chose the pocket WiFi as suggested by a colleague. The pocket Wifi was rented through Klook with pick-up point at the airport. It can also be collected at Japan airports. To start with, you can register through the official website to receive a discount coupon. Then you can search for "Japan WiFi" or click here (Hong Kong only) to reserve one. With the discount coupon it costs about HKD 150 for 14 days.

就我半個月的測試,操作相當簡單,第一次設定好手機或平板後,按開關就可以使用。東日本及南北海道接近99%的地方都是訊號滿滿,而且速度很快,只有新幹線行經一些長隧道會斷開,如盛岡到田澤湖中段、新青森到新函館北斗跨海段等等。電量方面,一開始約有60-80%電,滿電不長開就能支撐一天,長開約6小時,充電除了自身的插頭(充電時有點熱,需小心),也可連接一般USB的設備,如電腦、充電寶(尿袋)等等,充滿電需要4小時以上。一次能連接5部設備,所以如果不需電話,結伴同行會是最佳選擇之一。
The manipulation is quite easy after the first registration with your phone/tablet. Upon my half-month user experience, the pocket WiFi received signal well in 99% situation, except during tunnels travelling. For battery performance, it was durable up to 6 hours for continuous usage and to whole day if I switched it off occasionally. With USB chargeable wire, it took over 4 hours to get fully charged. 5 devices are able to connect to the pocket WiFi simultaneously.

入境大堂電梯往下,就會看到JR服務中心及Skyliner中心並肩而立,關於JR Pass已於上一篇詳細介紹過,視排隊人龍需要約10-25分鐘。至少Skyliner,由於乘搭旅客不算太多,即場購買也可以,如果不安心或想提前想好搭配的車票,可到Skyliner官網查看,我就提前預訂了JPY 2,800的Skyliner單程票加地鐵一日票,但也是要排隊領取實票的。
◢The JR service center and Skyliner information center are located at the same place under the Arrivals level. Further to the JR Pass introduction in the last article, it takes about 10-25 minutes to queue for the physical pass and tickets. For Skyliner, you can buy the ticket on the spot, but it would be better if you reserve in advance through official website to save time. I queued for the single trip ticket with metro day-ticket which costed JPY 2,800.

跟Narita Express作對比,Skyliner是比較舒適的,因為乘搭人次較少,但目的地就只有日暮里跟京成上野,而且價錢較貴。Narita Express來回到池袋新宿等地只需JPY 4,000,但Skyliner光來回到京成上野就要JPY 4,300了,當然,最後還是看你目的地及時間安排作決定。
◢Compared with Narita Express, Skyliner is more comfortable due to lesser passengers, but the arrival stations are only Nippori and Ueno with higher price. Return tickets to Shinjuku with Narita Express costs JPY 4,000 while the same to Ueno with Skyliner already costs JPY 4,300. Nonetheless it depends where your destination and what your schedule are.

這次的民宿是全自助式的,位置離京成上野站10分鐘,接近根津那邊,整段路不是大街,但人流頗多,是上野恩賜公園下來回根津的主道之一,只是也不建議女性獨自走。民宿有數層約8房間,我被分配在2F,3F或以上需脫鞋穿拖鞋,頂層6F才有2淋浴間。這民宿優點有三:洗手間整潔、公共空間不錯、幽靜,但同樣缺點也有三:房間地板髒、淋浴間很差又要跑幾層樓梯、WIFI不行。然而價錢在東京區內算是便宜,但他好像隱藏了我一堆批評的感想了,要搜索才看到,哈哈,有興趣就去看看吧,我的評價是好壞參半。
◢The hostel, located 10 minutes from Keisei Ueno, was fully self-serviced. I don't recommend girls walking alone the road despite that it is one of the main roads from Ueno to Nezu. I would say this is only an average hostel with average price.
