May 2017 東日本 南北海道之旅 Day0 出發準備及鐵道周遊券 ◢East-South Hokkaido Trip Day0 Preparation and JR Pass
這是一個14日13夜,從東日本玩到南北海道的故事。計劃2星期橫越半個日本的單人旅程,回想起來已經覺得頭痛,出發前的準備可說是接近瘋狂,為的就是善用每天日本的時光。去個旅行為何要弄得那麼累?因為我認為行程計劃是旅遊的最大樂趣之一!
◢This is a long story travelling from east-Japan to south-Hokkaido throughout 14 days. Planning a 2-week trip is tiring yet exciting!
日本的行程計劃主要有四項:
一、機票
二、14天的行程大綱
三、鐵道周遊券及預約
四、住宿
其實5月份主要是為了北海道的櫻花,但有感停留北海道14天太長,而且香港直飛札幌的機票價值又不划算,就選擇了從東京來回北海道。而這次規劃的困難之處,在於由東日本至南北海道的範圍實在太大,自由度極高,加上正值東北櫻花旺季及日本黃金週,導致有火車沒酒店,有酒店沒祭典,有祭典沒火車的情況頻頻出現,很多時候必須改變行程,一次訂好第三四項。幾番努力下,最後定出行程如下:
Day 1-2 東京 Tokyo
Day 3-4 秋田-弘前 Akita-Hirosaki (弘前櫻花祭)
Day 5-6 函館 Hakodate (五陵郭櫻花祭)
Day 7 大沼公園 Onuma Park (櫻花)
Day 8-10 札幌 Sapporo (櫻花 平岡公園梅花祭)
Day 11 仙台 Sendai
Day 12-14 東京 Tokyo (神田祭)
◢There are 4 major areas for Japan trip plan: flight tickets, 14-day trip outline, JR pass and seat reservation, and accommodation. My main focus for a Japan trip in May was mainly the cherry blossom in Hokkaido. However, considered that staying in Hokkaido for 14 days may be too long and that direct flight to Sapporo from Hong Kong was too expensive, I chose a long round trip from Tokyo to Hokkaido. The most difficult part for the plan was the numerous possible cities from East-Japan to South-Hokkaido area. The cherry blossom season in northern-east Japan and Japan Golden Week made the reservations even harder, if not impossible sometimes.
這篇先來介紹最重要的一環:鐵道周遊券。相信遊日旅客對JR都不陌生,但如何用得其所想必每次都非常懊惱。售價JPY 26,000的東日本南北海道鐵道周遊券,可於14天內使用6天,換算起來每天至少得花4,500才划算,簡單一點,每一天就是貴價快速的新幹線,其實不算便宜好用。當然我不是建議旅客為用而用,只是考慮買這張的時候,應該以最大距離及最少時間這樣高效益的路去規劃,畢竟東京到北海道路途遙遠,要充分利用也是可以的。舉例來說,上野到秋田約8,100(秋田新幹線:4小時)、新青森到新函館北斗約4,650(北海道新幹線:1小時)、仙台到東京約5,300(東北新幹線:1.5小時)、輕井澤來回東京約7,000(北陸新幹線:1小時)等等。如果只是用於羽田成田機場的往返(約2,000:1小時),這張券可能就不太划算了。

◢JR pass is the main theme in this article. I believe frequent Japan travelers should be very familiar with JR, but how to plan the trip with the JR pass could be a real headache. East-South Hokkaido JR pass costs JPY 26,000, usable for 6 days out of a 14-day period. To convert into a daily costing, it simply means a spending of JPY 4,500 per day, or at least 1 Shinkansen (new trunk line) per day to make it count. Therefore I recommend buyer of this JR pass to plan more long distance travel, for example,
Ueno to Akita JPY 8,100 (Akita Shinkansen, 4 hours),
Shin-Aomori to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto JPY 4,650 (Hokkaido Shinkansen, 1 hour),
Sendai to Tokyo JPY 5,300 (Tohoku-Hokkaido Shinkansen, 1.5 hours),
Tokyo to Karuizawa round trip JPY 7,000 (Hokuriku Shinkansen, 1 hour each), etc.
Express trains to airports is not recommended (JPY 2,000, 1 hour).

日本JR公司以區域劃分,但訂購日本鐵道周遊券過程大同小異,一般只要用護照及兌換券就能到指定JR窗口(機場、主要車站等等)換領周遊券。以之前介紹過的九州JR Pass為例,只需網上預訂就可以,非常方便。對越洋網上預訂不放心,或如這次的東日本南北海道券並不提供網上服務,就要到日本國外指定機構親身購買,或經KLOXX/KKDXX等旅遊網站訂購(仍需親身領取兌換券)。當然,你可以到埗後才購買,只是早買早安心,而且可以提早預約車票而已。
◢Although JR business is separated by different regions in Japan, purchasing the JR passes are rather similar. With passport and the exchange ticket you can get the JR pass from various JR ticket office (airport/main stations). Kyushu JR pass can be reserved online, but exchange ticket for East-South Hokkaido one can only be purchased through designated locations, or other online agencies.

出發前兩個月(兌換券3個月內有效)到了JTB公司直接購買,職員非常友善,關於五能線的問題他更直接致電日本方面查詢,準備好護照及出發日期,付款簽名,拿走收據及兌換券,約15分鐘就搞定。
◢I bought the exchange ticket at JTB in Tsim Sha Tsui 2 months before departure (valid within 3 months). With passport, departure date and payment, you can get the receipt and exchange ticket within 15 minutes.

然後就到了最傷腦筋的車票預訂,旅程前一個月才可預訂當日車票。首先到Ekinet,即JR東日本預訂網站登記成為會員,按首頁橘色「會員登錄」漢字即可。登記步驟如下圖,將需要電郵地址、日文名字(按此翻譯)、酒店聯絡地址及電話、信用卡等。車票可經以下2個網站預訂,中文網站我就不介紹了,熟悉車站英文名稱就可,這次用日文網站作例子。

◢Then it came to the hard part - JR ticket reservation (only available from 1 month before day of train). Below are examples with the Japanese website, English users can simply use this one which is more readable.

總結一下關於「東日本。南北海道 鐵道周遊券」預約的步驟:
一、到指定機構購買,帶備護照,付款後拿到兌換券
二、到Ekinet用信用卡登記,預約14天內6天的車票,不用理會價錢,列印(方便職員)
三、到日本機場JR綠色窗口,帶備兌換券、護照、已預約車票的表單、信用卡,經職員核對後拿到周遊券及各日車票
*只要在出發日前有用周遊券領取車票,就會免收顯示的車費。
◢To sum up, the steps of reserving East-South Hokkaido JR pass are:
1. Buy the exchange ticket at designated locations with passport.
2. Register on Ekinet website with credit card, reserve JR tickets, print the JR ticket summary.
3. Get the JR pass and JR tickets with exchange ticket, passport, ticket summary and credit card from JR ticket office.
